MISS TEXAS LATINA is the Official State Preliminary Pageant for the national MISS US LATINA™ competition established since 1983 to the International MISS LATIN AMERICA® OF THE WORLD pageant. The Winner of the MISS TEXAS LATINA will continue on to participate in the National MISS US LATINA 2014.
Mity Belen Gonzales of Amarillo, TX is the current Miss Teen Texas Latina 2014 she will represent Texas in the national Miss Teen US Latina this upcoming summer. Natalia Castillo from Houston, TX is the current Miss Texas Latina 2014. Natalia represented the state of Texas in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic placing top 10.
Miss Texas Latina is the first competition established in the state of Texas exclusively for Latinas, and the only one whose winner advances to a national competition.
Miss Texas Latina Pageant Organization is geared to Latina residents of Texas between the ages of 14 and 27, who desire to travel and advance in the world of pageants and the modeling industry, while proudly promoting their Latino heritage.
This Pageant intends to promote the ideas, culture, interests and aspirations of this country's most powerful emerging market. Today's young Latina women are leading the way. Their desires for achievement, recognition and the betterment of themselves and their families are shaping the future economy and culture of this country, driving it into the next century.

Miss Teen Texas Latina 2014 is Mitzy Belen Gonzalez from Amarillo, TX.
Ashley Garner from El Paso, Texas was crowned Miss U.S. Latina™ 2013 on August 24th in Riviera Maya, Mexico, besting 24 other competitors for the title. She followed this victory a week later by taking home Third Runner-Up honors at the 2013 Miss Latin America® of the World Pageant in representation of the USA.
The 19-year-old broadcast journalism student is fluent in English and Spanish, and also speaks some Japanese. Along with her studies at UTEP, she works as a Financial Aid Advisor at Southwest University and is involved with the Make A Wish Foundation and the Armed Services YMCA program in her hometown.
Ashley is proud of her mixed-race heritage of Mexican and African-American that contributes to her exotic beauty. At her young age, she had already won a number of local beauty competitions prior to competing at the state pageant that led to her becoming Miss Texas Latina 2013 and eligible for the national title she holds today.
She rounds out her personal life with reading, baking swimming and cycling. Her talents are dancing and gymnastics, and she also has a modeling background. Ashley exemplifies the Miss U.S. Latina motto of “More than a Model…a ROLE MODEL™
